The other day I was asked to bring a bucket loaded with water over to my husband, one of those Home Depot buckets, and I was telling him how heavy it was, and how I wasn’t sure I would be able to lift it.

I call those three attributes the three Ps.
- Patience has mostly to do with how you treat yourself.
If you are not patient with yourself, you will become agitated and eat out of frustration and spite.
- Perseverance comes with your attitude.
If you don’t have perseverance, then you will lose the ability to go the distance it takes to lose unwanted weight.
- Pliancy comes with how well you adjust to different situations.
You must be able to bend the rules now and then, to feel you are part of life, and not caged in a cell with your negative thought patterns leaving you feeling isolated and lonely.
How did I lose 50 pounds and how did I keep it off all these years later?
I walked every day without missing the opportunity to get up and out and walk, walk and walk.
