Once I lost all the weight I felt I needed to; in order for me to feel and live the life I’ve always intended to; I began to dislike any ads or discussions regarding the word “diet” and or “weight loss”.
I looked at tons of different weight loss programs and have always found them to be shy of anything with substance or integrity.
When I came into my own; meaning life felt better in my skin, I decided I wanted to help others achieve similar goals.
I know how I felt with 50 extra pounds around my waist. Not good!!!
So, why go green?
I began looking into a very important question,” how to alkalize your body ” as I knew many problems stem from the body being too acidic; causing many problems.
All my research seemed to be pointing to the same place which was begin juicing and eat more green foods.
So, I did – and I never felt better because of it.
According to the IOM (Institute of Medicine) Dietary Reference Intakes for Energy, Carbohydrate, Fiber, Fat, Fatty Acids, Cholesterol, Protein, and Amino Acids – Adults should get 45 percent to 65 percent of their calories from carbohydrates, 20 percent to 35 percent from fat, and 10 to 35 percent from protein.
All the above are easily attainable through eating or juicing greens.
Greens are the most nutritionally dense foods on the planet, and they’re low in calories.
Greens are also packed with dietary fiber and will not cause irritable problems with your digestive system.
Greens are incredibly alkaline and will help regulate your blood to a healthier alkaline state. Most disease and problems people face are from their bodies being too acidic, also known as acidosis.
Here is a list of known diseases that can be prevented by keeping the body more alkaline:
- heart disease
- skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis.
- bowel issues
- viral growth
- bladder infections
- high blood pressure
- high cholesterol
These are many reminders of why we must take our eating habits to heart, and change up what we are doing wrong to work towards making them better.
