Benefits of Walking

Take your body out for regular walks and see what incredible transformations take place.

The benefits of walking 30 minutes a day far outweigh any negative thoughts you may have about exercise.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has referenced heart disease as the number one killer in the USA!!

What’s incredible?

Walking as little as thirty minutes a day can reduce the risk by 40 percent.
That is a huge percentage!

Practicing healthy eating habits, along with daily meditation and regular exercise will beat those chances.

The benefits of walking 30 minutes a day can relieve symptoms such as depression and anxiety, as well as improve mental processing such as thinking.

We all take thinking for granted, the process of thinking just comes to us, therefore, we never really give it much ‘thought, ‘ but our thoughts can become hampered when we are stressed or mentally burdened.

There has long been a link made between depression and getting outside, and as our understanding of the brain’s complexities is unraveled by scientists and psychologists that link is getting stronger.

Walking has been scientifically proven to release the endorphins that help us feel good and improve our moods.

Benefits of walking 30 minutes a day

The Journal of Mental Health and Physical Activity (MEPA) has recently found that the benefit of walking 30 minutes a day can have a substantial effect on people suffering from mild to severe depression.

Walking is a much better alternative to having Dr’s prescribing drugs that work by altering the brain’s chemistry.

Benefits to Walking 30 Minutes a Day

Just getting outside and into natural daylight can have an enormous effect on your overall well-being.

It doesn’t have to be a sunny, warm day to get yourself out and walking. Cooler air is invigorating, stimulating and helps boost your overall mood.

Get yourself a pair of walking shoes and some warm, comfortable clothing then just get out and walk.

It is proven countless times that just deciding to get out for the benefit of a 30-minute walk, far better exceeds any time spent at home on your computer or watching your television, or whatever it is you do for 30 minutes.

30 minutes go by very quickly!!

The time you spend just thinking about getting your body out for a walk is probably much longer than the time you actually will spend walking.

There is a saying that goes; you keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.; this is the definition of insanity.

I know many people who talk about wanting change in their lives but keep doing the same thing over and over; expecting different results.

People that talk about “needing to get out and walk” for various reasons, but there is always one excuse or another for why they don’t.

My life changed for the better when I decided to take a walk for 30 minutes a day.

Here are some amazing benefits to walking 30 minutes a day

Boosted endorphins levels help reduce glaucoma risk
Limits sickness
Improves heart health

Works arm and shoulder muscles
Engages abdominal muscles
Improves blood pressure
Reduces risk of Osteoporosis
Strengthens legs
Improves balance
Burns fat

Benefits to Walking 30 Minutes a Day

When I finally decided to lose my unwanted weight, 50 pounds, I simply took myself for a walk in the park a for a minimum of thirty minutes a day.

The benefits of walking 30 minutes a day paid off in a big way.

Over a few weeks of consistency, I eventually WANTED to walk more.

As my weight dropped my attitude got better, and everyone around me was much happier too.

No one wants to see their mother, daughter, friend or wife uncomfortable in their skin.

I was very uncomfortable.

Carrying around an extra 50 pounds was extremely difficult for me both mentally and physically.

Nobody can tell you the benefits of walking 30 minutes a day, they can try, but it won’t do anything unless you get out and do it.

Most important are knowing THINGS TAKE TIME.

You may feel wonderful after a 30-minute walk, but you won’t see results until you’ve taken 5-10 thirty minute walks.

Your mind will feel the immediate results, but your body will play some catch up before you see results (that is if you’re trying to lose weight)

I am still walking every day.

I have lost all my unwanted weight, and I feel great inside my skin.
I now jog three miles per day, and my joints, ankles, and muscles are not screaming at me as they once did when I was too overweight.

My journey to weight loss and vibrant health began with a mere 30 minute a day walk.

The most important thing you will do for yourself is to invest in a good pair of walking/running shoes.
I have walked, ran and jogged for many years, and I have found good shoes to be priceless.

Here is a short list of some things I have done for myself that will work for you too:

Treat yourself to new walking shoes.
Create a real time during the day for your walks.
Invest in a good pair of headphones to bring with you on your walks.

Listening to your favorite music while walking is absolutely the best thing to do while beginning your routine.

It will help you pass the time when you’re just starting out your daily walking routine.
There were times I forgot what time it was due to how incredibly good I was feeling while walking.
